Best Cities for Small Business, Dallas is No. 3

Four of the top five best cities for small business are in Texas, with Dallas ranked third. The rankings are based on factors that make it easiest for small businesses to launch, grow and thrive.

The study focuses on the taxes at the state and local level and licensing environment. It’s no wonder Texas cities are in the lead, with no individual income tax or corporate income tax in the state. Rankings also took into consideration each city’s growth rate, based on five-year statistics on job creation, salary increases and the expansion of technology firms.
