Tanoshii Brings Ramen to Dallas

Tanoshii Ramen+ Bar is opening in Deep Ellum, the first restaurant in Dallas dedicated to the Japanese dish.  Husband and wife Joey and Chi Le are opening the restaurant at 2724 Commerce St. Chi Le is creating the recipes. The menu will include Tonkotsu Ramen, or a pork soup; curry Ramen and a late-night hot pot. Non-soup Ramens include noodles topped with pork belly, nori, nitamago and scallions and stir fry noodles with season vegetables and chicken. Also available on the menu will be gyoza, or Japanese-style dumplings, and vegan dishes.

Dallas-based Coeval Studio designed the restaurant’s interior, which preserves most of the existing natural elements including the brick walls, concrete floors, and tin ceiling. Japanese noren signage, community tables and cushioned benches complete the interior.
