New housing is about to redefine investment in West Dallas
Recent investment in West Dallas has primarily focused on commercial development until now. Adding to new restaurants and businesses, high-density residential is now driving demand for investment.
– Sylvan Thirty, set to open in late spring, will include a grocery store, shops and 201 apartments. Phase Two plans would add 250 more units.
– Wood Partners is planning 252 apartments at the former trailer park site on West Commerce Street.
– Trinity Groves’ investors have the zoning in place for 250 to 350 units.
– Henry S. Miller Co. has requested rezoning to build 326 apartments near the Belmont Hotel.
These projects alone add over 1,000 new housing units in pockets of development from the Margaret Hunt Hill bridge west and south to the edge of Oak Cliff.
