West Dallas’ Sylvan/Thirty project planning expansion

While the first phase of the Sylvan/Thirty development is under construction, planning for a second phase expansion is underway.

An adjacent 7 acre tract on Yorktown Street is currently occupied by a trucking yard, but developer Oaxaca Interests LLC is asking the City of Dallas for a zoning change. Their plan for the property includes up to 250 additional apartments and retail space.

Phase One of the Sylvan/Thirty development includes 200 apartments and almost 50,000 sq ft of retail space currently under construction. Cox Farms Market, an organic grocer, will be one of the tenants.

Wood Partners, building the residential portion of the project, is also planning to build more rental units on a former trailer park site just down West Commerce Street from Sylvan/Thirty.
