Opening of Sylvan Avenue Bridge revives route to and from West Dallas, Oak Cliff

Two lanes of the new $42 million Sylvan Avenue Bridge opened in early April, bearing motorists to and from West Dallas and Oak Cliff. It replaces a previous low-water crossing bridge that closed in April 2012. The new bridge’s other four lanes will open in August. It also has connections to Trammell Crow Park and its boat launch.
