Cesar Pelli: The man behind the design of Crescent’s new Uptown tower
Crescent Real Estate Holdings has broken ground on its $225 million 20-story office and retail tower designed by world renowned architect Cesar Pelli. The 87-year-old architect designed the building that will be a new feature in Uptown, at McKinney and Olive Streets.
The building features a plaza with two restaurants and a garden all facing Olive Street, a nod to the site’s proximity to the Arts District. The unusual shape of the 3.1-acre building site inspired the building’s placement and design, including the shimmering steel-facade parking structure.
