Dallas Entrepreneur Center finds a new home in West End
The Dallas Entrepreneur Center (DEC) is moving into a 10,000 sq ft space at 311 N. Market St in the West End neighborhood of downtown. Since the Center began almost a year ago, it has been operating from Dallas-based SoftLayer’s data center on Stemmons Freeway.
The 25 startups with offices currently at the DEC are expected to all move into the new building along with Dallas accelerator VentureSpur. The DEC nonprofit was attracted to the location by the ability to expand in their operations in the building, and their proximity to DART and other public transportation as well as retail and business activity. The co-working space The Grove is located nearby, also in the West End. It’s members include many startups and entrepreneurs that add to the entrepreneurial synergy of the district.
The news comes about a month after Dallas startup accelerators Tech Wildcatters and Health Wildcatters announced their relocation from Uptown to 211 N. Ervay in downtown.
