How lifting the Wright Amendment changed the game at Dallas Love Field in 2014

The federal regulations that restricted flights from Dallas Love Field for nearly 35 years were lifted in 2014. As a result, airlines operating at Love Field began offering nonstop flights from Dallas to cities throughout the contiguous United States. In addition to the nonstop flights offered by Southwest Airlines to 15 new destinations, San-Francisco-based Virgin America relocated to Love Field and began offering nonstop service to four cities.  Source: Dallas Business Journal, December 24, 2014.
