Downtown Connection Tax Increment Financing (TIF) District

The Downtown Connection TIF district represents the outgrowth of City of Dallas’s effort to create a downtown neighborhood with 10,000 plus residents, supporting retail establishments, adequate parks and open spaces, an attractive employment environment and variety of arts venues. The District as created in 1996, to fund for public capital improvements in core of Downtown Dallas, essential for development of key spaces and buildings and focuses on creating greater density and critical mass within the Main Street core area.
